Hi,

setting 1920x1080 resolution in videodevice (Live Gamer HD Lite) properties only gets me blackscreen + audio, with ps3 games.. ps1 game works fine. anything above 720p won't work with ps3 games. already tried different fps settings and stuff.. can't find a solution :( hope you guys know what to do :S

i am using hdmi with a splitter that stripes away the HDCP.

From http://gamerzone.avermedia.com/game_capture/live_gamer_hd_lite (Specifications):

Capture:
...1920 x 1080 (25p), 1920 x 1080 (30p), 1920 x 1080 (24p), 1920 x 1080 (25p), 1920 x 1080 (30p), 1920 x 1080 (25p), 1920 x 1080 (30p)

So it only supports 1080p with 30 fps max. And the PS3 propably outputs at least 50, if not 60 FPS.
So you can't capture the PS3 with 1080p with that card, if it's not possible to somehow set the PS3 to use a lower framerate.

Ehm, you saw the Input section @BtbN ? That clearly says you can input 1080p60 as usual with every live gamer HD. You can only record/capture 30 of course, as with every live gamer hd.
While this does not help towb, we now know that this should not be the reason. I would check and test with different cables. I guess you can see your ps3 footage on your TV when it comes it out of the splitter. Maybe try exchanging cables, see if the TV still gets a signal or if the Live Gamer now gets one.
Also try connecting only one cable, and you can even test without the splitter, it should show a picture in the avermedia software and I guess say something like hdcp protected in OBS. But try in both programs.
Last but not least, you can show us a log file to see if anything was wrong with your configuration of the live gamer. A blackscreen is very unusual, it should normally show no signal or a distorted picture.
