Okay so I have a laptop that's going to be strictly for streaming and I want to capture what I'm playing on my gaming desktop and I was thinking of getting the xcapture-1 USB 3.0 & I'm just confused in general on how a capture card actually captures what's going on on my screen. Cause here's my thought, Idk if I'm over thinking it or what but for instance: the capture device would go into my laptop and I would use an hdmi out to my monitor, but if it's connected to my monitor then how's it going to capture what's on my pc because I use a dvi connector from my gfx card to my monitor and what's the point of it being connected to my monitor? Unless it all connects together inside the monitor? This is the only part that confuses me the most & I would find out for myself if it didn't cost so much and I didn't want to feel like I wasted my money. So if someone could please explain how this works it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
