Confused about Audio

Hey there, so I've been using OBS for like 5 years now and never REALLY had major issues I couldn't fix but starting today I noticed OBS isn't picking up my audio from my PC anymore. I've gone through every audio source in my PC settings and changing it to match in OBS as well but nothing? I can hear the audio and the sources match but OBS won't detect it, audio slider is all the way up it picks up my Mic but nothing even audio source inputs won't work?
If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears because I'd rather not go back to SLOBS but I don't know what else to try.

Are you using "Default" anywhere? Either in a source somewhere or in Settings -> Audio? If so, then it's probably looking at the wrong device.

Don't use "Default". Pick something specific, or "Disabled". (Yes, change what OBS comes with. That is not "golden" by any means.)

Unfortunately no in the Global Audio Devices section i have desktop Audio set the the same source as my PC where I can still hear the Audio but none of the bars move when I play something.

I've also gone through every possible Audio source I have from both monitors and the Audio Jack directly on the PC matching them up in OBS as well and nothing... I've even completely deleted OBS and reinstalled twice but I still can't figure it out

Might need some screenshots at this point. What is the thing actually set to that doesn't work? What is it supposed to match? What are the other relevant settings? Etc.

Here are some pics of my current settings on a clean re-install and I can Definitely hear it through my headphones and with my speakers and audio sources I've gone through EVERY one and matched them the the desktop audio setting in OBS and volume at max but still nothing.

It seems you're not sure about through which Windows audio device your audio is being played back. This even might change, if you plug in/switch on/plug out/switch off some headset: Windows changes the default audio device on such an event. And some apps follow the Windows default audio device with their output on the fiy, but OBS doesn't, so some audio might move from one device to your headset device, if you connect your headset, and move back if you disconnect/switch it off.

To determine which audio device is currently being used, simply add all audio devices you have in Settings > Audio > Global audio devices. Every one of them. Then speak and listen and run the apps you intend to capture and generate audio. Now you see which devices are silent and which produce sound. Remove the silent ones and keep the ones with the audio you want to capture.

Also do Edit > Advanced audio properties make sure the devices you choose are activated for the tracks you record, and in Settings > Output the tracks you want to record or stream are also activated in the Audio Track setting. There are 2 different track selection settings, one for streaming and one for recording.

I think, here @Lawrence_SoCal says about OS permissions to use (to access) these devices. During OS updates, the permission granted for OBS to use the audio/video input device may be recalled. There is system setting in the OS to allow application access to the input device.

Maybe? I have it set to run as admin every time I open it but idk if that helps
Logging into OS with User Profile with Admin rights has nothing to do with Application permission access to devices [which has changed over the years with increased threats from accessing, especially, camera and microphones
