Question / Help configuration for Power Book Pro i7 - Radeon Pro 560X 4096 MB

Hi, My PowerBook 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 - 32GB Ram gets very hot after about 1h streaming and then turns off. Is it possible that I made the wrong settings? I would like to stream FULL HD on youtube. What should I do best here?

Try the Apple VT Hardware x264 encoder. If that doesn't work, you're stuck using your CPU for encoding which on a laptop is going to make it run hot. OBS on MacOS does not have the capability of using the hardware accelerated encoding on the Radeon card.

I think i've seen other programs that are able to use the video card tho, does it have something to do with OBS specifically that doesn't allow it?

I'm not aware of any that use NVENC on MacOS because Nvidia did not expose that functionality in their MacOS drivers.

I believe that it may be possible to use it on some versions of MacOS and some Radeon cards, but I have not been able to make this work, myself, although I am able to use accelerated decoding in players. That functionality is separate.
