Question / Help Computer running hot

Since installing OBS I have noticed that my computer is starting to be quiet warm while streaming. When I start, my cpu is running at around 20% but towards the 40 min mark, it is up near 40%.

Any ways of getting around this?

Use hardware encoding such as Quick Sync or NVENC. I'm able to steam at 1080 3Mbps with OBS only using ~10% cpu on i7 at 2.9 Ghz. I disabled the CPU boost function and that keeps it around 78 C when running.

As for OBS, i have attached the screen shots of the settings pages.

unfortantly i only have x264 as an option, under this tab, unless it is somewhere else?

as for the CPU boost function, where is this located, as i cant locate this under settings?

I use ThrottleStop to disable the boost. See https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-use-quicksync.82/ for info on QuickSync. You may need to make a change in your bios.
