Question / Help Computer Advice

I got a Lenovo X315 PC for Christmas and I've tried setting it up for streaming.

I'm trying to stream CS:GO I'm not able to achieve good results and it's very laggy. CPU usage runs around 95-100% when I try to stream. I don't think I'm going to get great results with this PC, but if anyone has any advice on making it run more efficiently I'm all ears.

I'm curious if it would be worthwhile to upgrade the PC (CPU, GPU, both?) or just sell it and save up for a more powerful PC.
Current specs on the machine are:

CPU: AMD A8-7600 3.1
Graphics: AMD Radeon R7
Ram: 12GB
OS: Windows 10
HD: 1TB (I'm assuming 5400 rpm)

Budget wise I have about $375 to spend on upgrades.

Any advice?

I'd suggest saving up and building new. AMD chips are pretty anemic compared to intel right now.

Yep, especially APUs. Many streamers start out with AMD CPUs for the price, but most I know switch over to an i7 (and not a 2-core mobile "i7" either) for more stable performance.

I agree with the above. Someone's old i7 2600k on a buy and sell forum bought for cheap would be outstanding for you.
