Question / Help Compatibility Mode Greyed Out

I am attempting to do a monitor recording, but the compatibility mode is greyed out. I tried doing a Window recording, but they only options it gave me to record were my task manager and my calculator.

So, how do I get compatibility mode to work?

I'm trying to capture a game on my laptop. As I do not have Nvidia, the only option according to the FAQ is "use window/monitor capture with the "compatibility mode" option enabled to force a capture." Except there is no compatibility mode for monitor and window mode only is allowing me to record my task manager.

If you don't have a switchable graphics laptop then that laptop/black screen thread doesn't matter. What game are you trying to capture? Are you unable to use a game capture source?
