This may be stupid, but I can't find the text box to enter the command to allow openGL in Windows 10.

Thanks!

Right click over the OBS icon on the desktop, click Properties, add command line keys to the Target field (at the end of the string). Click OK to save changes. When you start OBS Studio from this icon next time - it will apply saved command line keys on startup.

Because it directly causes far more problems than the one problem it actually solves.

Problems it causes:
Massive performance hits
Massive color distortion
Stability issues

Problem it solves:
Being able to run OBS on a video card that supports opengl3.2 but not directx 10.1

This is versatile card designed for gaming (office and home use). So, OpenGL not recommended for this model on Windows (not well tested).

Thanks for the info. It's certainly been.. an adventure. ~_^ I have more questions than I have even time to properly learn how to ask. {Here's what I came up with to record Minecraft some months ago, hence wanting openGL back:}

you don't need opengl renderer in obs to capture opengl games.

It sure appears that way though, not a single OpenGL game has ever worked in OBS Studio for me. It either just stays black or it captures the very first frame and then it stays there as a static image. I've always had to go with DDdraw or Direct3D
