I've got a minor issue where OBS seems to record with the wrong colors. They're not wildly wrong, and in a game with enough visual complexity nobody would likely notice. However, I tend to record 2D indie games and older games where it can sometimes be more noticeable.
I've been googling around and trying to figure this out, but so far what I've come across hasn't really applied. My settings are already at NV12 with a color space of 601 and a partial color range, as everyone seems to suggest. I've tried watching the recordings with multiple video players and get the same results, and I've also compared with video captured through Game Bar and screenshots taken by just hitting print screen and pasting into notepad (both of which seem to capture the colors accurately).
I put a couple OBS recordings side by side with Game Bar captures in Resolve, and saved some rendered screenshots:

In both of these, OBS is on the left, while Game Bar is on the right. In the first shot, you can see that the background is generally oranger. The sun's corona is much more orange, the sun itself is more cream-colored, it's tougher to distinguish the color differences in the lower clouds, and the sea seems to have lost some of its blue. The green of the birds is also much darker in OBS. In general, everything's a little less vibrant. In the second example, the reds are pretty washed out and look more orange once again. The blues also seem to be slightly lighter as well, although it's far less noticeable.
Again, it's not the most pressing problem but I'm not sure why OBS would be recording colors a little wrong, when Game Bar captures them perfectly. And for something like The Messenger, I want to show off how gorgeous the game's art is, and even if it's not immediately noticeable why, it's definitely noticeable that it looks a little uglier in playback (this was one of the reasons I began investigating the colors to begin with).
