Hey guys so I need some help with getting my Roxio HD pro setup to the video capture. Once I click on video capture device under scenes and select the roxio the only thing I get on preview is 7 vertical colored lines instead of the video feed. I know the feed is working seeing I can work with my feed via roxio software. All settings are set the same as the setup guild. DirectX11 installed along with updated GPU driver. I attached 2 screenshots of what i'm seeing on the obs once ive added device. Ive done a search and found this same problem twice but neither of the post finished with a fix.. Thanks for your help -Brandon

My setup:

Roxio HD PRO
Windows 7 64bit
Pentium Dual Core 2.7GHz CPU
GeForce GT610 1GB GPU
4GB Ram

I did a quick search on google, but couldn't immediately find whether the device use hardwave video encoding or not. If it does you'll probably not be able to use it with OBS as it cannot decode video feed from such devises.

Otherwise, check resolution and other settings you have set in the Video Capture Device sourse. Setting the correct resolution manually could help you with your problem.

Thanks for the response. I know OBS works with my capture device because ive seen others use it. The res is set to the only option it shows once selecting Roxio of 640x480 fps of 29.97. If I change the res to lets say 1280x720 I get a red screen instead of the 7 vertical colors. Attachment of pictures added to first post

I'm not quite sure where you've seen other people use the Roxio Game Cap HD Pro with OBS. Unless Roxio has released an actual interface that allows the device to interface with OBS, it isn't supported, as it's a USB 2.0 device and outputs compressed video.

The only USB 2.0 HD capture devices that work with OBS (to my knowledge) is the ElGato Game Capture HD (not the same thing as the Roxio) and the AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable (using the Stream Engine interface). If the Roxio device works in OBS, it's definitely a recent development, but judging from the info you've provided, I'd say it's still not supported.

The colours are from the device, do you have the choice to select a different input?

If i use my hdpvr to passthrough to my TV and don't select the correct input (Component/HDMI) it passes through the coloured bars.
