Question / Help Color Loss

As the title states I am getting a bit of color loss between my recordings and desktop itself.

It can be seen here:

It is mostly noticeable on the Skype logo as well as the League of Legends. This isn't a big issue, but for my purposes, I'd like the color to be as accurate as possible. Is there anything I can do to improve this?

EDIT: Bottom is the original, top is recorded

Not really...it's a limitation of 4:2:0 subsampling that x264 gives you, unfortunately.

OBS converts to 4:2:0 before passing it to x264. x264 can do 4:4:4 sampling (High 4:4:4 Profile), so we should probably make the conversion step optional as then you could use crf=0 and get truly lossless local recordings. Keep in mind the limitations of editing software with such formats though.

Adding in a little bit of info : Flash ( current ver is 11.7 ) supports 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 right now, but not 4:4:4.
4:2:2 decode quality is pretty descent; it produces some slight artifacts or decoding errors around bright reds or blues .. from what I noticed.
