Question / Help Closed Circuit Broadcasting

Hello All,

I just stumbled onto this website after a quick Google search.
There's not a lot of information about what exactly this software is and what it can do.

So, can this software be used to stream a video camera, which is connected to the computer, to another location? Or is this purely for screen capture?

Depends on the other location, it must be running a flash media server to stream directly. but yeah obs should broadcast anything you feed it.

Spcifically, it's used for broadcasting video to be streamed over the internet. The video is encoded into an h264 format and sent to an RTMP server, which serves the video to viewers, usually viewing in a flash player. I'm not sure how well it would fit into a more traditional TV broadcasting setup.
