Cloned display to capture card stuttering

So I have a 360 hz monitor, and cloned display out to a live gamer ultra @ 60hz. The motion is smooth until really fast paced scenes with lots of explosions etc then it starts to stutter badly until the scene calms down again. OBS is not showing lost encoder, render, or network frames. Best I can deduce is it is something to do with either the capture card, or output cloned signal. From what I’ve googled I believe it to be the clone signal.

PS
I’m currently trying to confirm this by testing 240hz pass through rather than cloning my 360hz monitor to 60hz to the capture card but capture card won’t recognize the signal even though the 240hz is passing through just fine. This is an issue I’m trying to resolve in a separate thread.

you capture car only can 240hz 1080P

when you clone the 360 hz display to an 60 hz your GPU must render the Picture duble. duble render dubble GPU time.

please post an OBS LOG so we can find a solution for you. 1 PC or 2 PC setup then you say 1 PC setup dont use a Capture card !
I’m not sure you understand. I have a two pc setup. I am currently using 1080p360hz on my monitor with a cloned signal of 1080p60 hz going from hdmi to capture card. I am wanting to switch from that setup to 1080p240hz into the capture card, then out to the monitor, which I have successfully done. The problem is that the capture card won’t detect a signal when I do this.
