Click Pop Script circle is misaligned

Hello, I recently downloaded the newest version of OBS and added the Click Pop script to show a circle when I click on the screen. It worked wonderfully for 2 days, then I unplugged my computer from the screen I was recording (an external screen bigger than my laptop one), and now when I try to record, the circles appear about 4cm above the actual visible mouse cursor.
I ran the tests on the script side, which confirmed that the mapping is running fine (I refreshed displays and everything even before running the tests), a colleague suggested it may be an OBS issue, which maybe changed something in updating (I updated to the latest version).
Does anyone have otehr steps to check/take that may help?
I also tried deleting the display capture and re-adding it, followed by a full refresh of the script and closing and reopening OBS

tbh the click circle offset after unplugging an external display is a known headache with those scripts, they cache the display geometry and don't always refresh properly when the resolution changes. You can try force-refreshing the script's display settings after each reconnect but it's flaky. fwiw I ran into similar stuff trying to highlight clicks in my lecture recordings. Eventually gave up on OBS scripts for it and started using a standalone app called TuringShot that handles the mouse highlight separately from OBS, so the circle actually follows the cursor correctly regardless of which display you're on. Might be worth a look if the script keeps acting up.
