Hello, so I downloaded OBS and the OBS virtual camera extension and pre-recorded a video of me using the front camera on my laptop. However, when choosing which camera I want to use, I cannot find the target OBS-Camera option so I can switch, I went to google chrome settings and cannot find it there. Any help here? Thanks

Works for me:

If it doesn't work for you, make sure the OBS virtual camera is installed correctly and recognized by OBS in the first place. If it works in OBS, and you are able to start the camera output in OBS, and if you are able to feedback the virtual camera right back into OBS as capture device source (just to make sure it really works), you should be able to use it in other apps as well.

How do I make sure it is installed correctly and recognized by OBS? I downloaded the zip file & extracted it then just copy and paste the files from the extracted source to OBS location program files to bin 64-bit and obs-plugin 64-bit

The OBS webcam plugin comes with an installer.
yea but I needed the virtual cam as well that's the extension, right? I downloaded & copy & pasted the files to OBS to get a virtual cam, however I do not get the target OBS-Camera when trying to switch my cam on Google Chrome settings

After the virtual camera is installed it needs to be turned on. Go to the tools menu in OBS click on virtual cam. OBS sees it as a output when it is on and will block the ability to edit some settings so the need to be able to turn it off and on.

I've been trying to turn it on & off but it still does not show

I had te same issue. I tried with a different browser such as Opera and it worked as it should be.
The problem is chrome itself, don't know why...
I hope I've been helpful.

What browser and OS are you using? It worked for me on Ubuntu with Firefox but it does not with Chrome in the same OS
