Chroma filter: noise in preview window

When adjusting the Chroma filter, the video preview in the chroma adjust window looks great (see attached Chroma_preview.png). Smooth, good colouring, low noise. However, the video in the main OBS preview window has lots of noise and different brightness/contrast compared to the preview in the adjustment window (Obs_preview.png). What gives? Is there something else that modifies the video after the chroma filter is applied and before it is displayed in the preview window?
