Chordie delayed

Hi all,

I have been using OBS while doing some online lessons. My screen through OBS is divided in 2 camera and 1 window capture. The latter streams an App call Chordie. This software is connected to a digital piano an shows the key you are pressing in real-time. I have noticed that on OBS there is a slight delay (about 1 second) from the moment I press the key on the piano to the moment the same key is highlighted on the screen. This doesn't happen on the window app, but, as mentioned, only on when added Chordie on OBS through "Window Capture".

Any idea how to fix it?

Thank you

Got the same problem. Chordie app displays the keys pressed perfectly on time - but in OBS it gets a significant lag....I'd say even more than 1 sec and my high end iMac is only using 2% CPU with all screens active.....I've been trying various settings (changing fps; changing bitrates....but it's not really a matter of the exported file...already before hitting stream or record - when previewing all your screens....it's lagging like crazy....something just isn't right here.

Hope anyone finds the fix for this or has a great idea

It is not only Chordie but all other apps when window capture is usef. Window capture in mac is very slow and laggy — use display capture (with crop) instead.
