Hello guys,
I'm kinda running out of ideas here, need help. Finally got a good gaming rig, started streaming and I just want to kill myself right now. First, I noticed that audio has some odd echo on some of my streams during playback. But that is a minor issue. Bigger issue is that no matter what I do, my videos are choppy, like frames are skipping.
After hrs of research and tweaking I'm even more confused and forced to ask for help. My Internet speed was 40 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload. Native screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 (40'' Samsung TV - connected to the Nvidia GTX 1060 through HDMI). Rescale output is 1280x720 and that is fine, did not want to upload more than 720p on Youtube. However, I guess the problem is in bitrate.
On 40d / 2u internet, bitrate had to be set to 1200 to keep the stream kinda fluid, but it would still lag every now and then. However, in fast scenes picture would become heavily pixelated. I thought that problem is in bitrate and low upload speed, so I went to my ISP and boosted my speed to 60 Mpbs download and 4 Mbps upload. Theoretically, according to the various guys posting bitrate calculators on the internet, I should have no problems if I set my bitrate to 2400. However, currently I'm using 1800 (also tried 2200), keyframe interval is set to 2 (even though I have no idea why it should not be set to 0 - automatic settings) and video is still choppy as hell !!!! What am I doing wrong, game is running smoothly on max settings with like 150 FPS and video is a) laggy and looks like crap, b) fast scenes are heavily pixelated.
I'll provide you with the log file.
PLS HELP! I'm really getting annoyed here, and ran out of ideas :(
