I previously posted here asking for help, got some replies but nothing worked tried to contact them again but they haven't replied its not been more than 1 day and no reply. So i am making a new post.

My problem is that whenever i record my game play, CS:GO 720p 60fps, i have no in game lag but whenever im done recording and go to edit the video it is very laggy/choppy it lags about 5-10 seconds and just ruins the game play :/ it i very frustrating. I tried using "veryfast" with 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000 bit rate but no solution. I even copied these settings https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ and videos from YouTube for solutions but still no luck. This is my last straw with OBS if this doesn't seem to work i'm just going to delete OBS and use a different software because it is very frustrating.

People also said using "Superfast" and "Ultrafast" but when i click on it to use it says "Changing the quality may cause severe negative damage to your CPU" so I am not sure if i should change it to that because i do not want to ruin my CPU.

Please help and thanks

changing the preset will not ruin your CPU, is down't say damage does it? that is why that verbage is not used. the faster the preset, the less time OBS spends on each frame of video, which is less CPU usage, consequently, less quality. the slower the preset, the more time, meaning more cpu usage and the better the quality. veryfast being the default that allows sufficient quality for streaming.

ok before you try that, remove the -high and -threads from the launch options of OBS and see if that fixes things.

launch options of CS:GO. remove those. and no it doesn't say "severe negative damage to your CPU" it says "Severely negative affects on stream quality and CPU usage"

which is true. not damage.

ahhhh ok. so setting it to ultrafast would be the best bet. and i basically just type -high and -threads 4 in since i have quad core?
