Question / Help Choppy stream.

Hi, I am trying to stream The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time through Project 64 but it is pretty choppy.

I have only tried previewing yet so it is not an upload issue, the game runs at ~20 fps because OoT is supposed to run at 20fps but the preview is at a constant 30 fps.

I have tried limiting the stream to 20 fps as well and it seemed to be a little better, but I'm not sure.

It will run okay for certain periods but then it starts lagging again.

The game itself is not lagging at all, and I am using Glide64 as my graphics plugin for PJ64 so I can game capture.

Thanks I hope I provided enough info.

EDIT: I switched my graphics plugin to Direct64 and it seems to be running fine for now. But if you have any ideas they are still welcome :D

EDIT2: Apparently Direct 64 freezes the game capture when I load a savestate and I have to untick and tick the box to show the game capture to update it, any idea why? I will try other graphics plugins later to see if anyone works better.

EDIT3: I give up, what ever I do it comes down to the integraded HD 4000 graphics not being able to handle everything on its own and since there is no way to make obs run on the AMD 7970m I guess I am done :(

Someone could close this thread if they wish

I would recommend probably using more downscale. Especially if that's an emulator. They'll be fighting over CPU like crazy. 1.5 downscale should be good for that processor.

I thought downscaling to 1707x960 was enough until I realized it is actually not at all much lower than 1920x1080 lol

I tried previewing 854x480 while playing and it seemed to work alright, the low resolution doesn't matter much since it's an N64 game, only other downscaled components look pretty bad (seedrun timer) but it's ok.

It's really sad how AMDs technology "works" especially since I can't turn the iGPU off.

Thanks tho :)
