Question / Help Choppy playback and muffled sound on recording

Trying to record some video for a friend. Mostly working fine although some of the playback is choppy. Also, the sound is somewhat muffled and heavy on the bass. Is there anyone that can tell me how to adjust my settings so that playback is smooth and my sound quality is much closer to the original? Below is the log URL.

Your CPU is severely underpowered for x264 encoding, even at 720p30. You will be much better off using QuickSync instead for the encoder. Also, you would want to use a constant quality option (I believe for QuickSync it's ICQ?), and adjust the quality value to your liking (lower = better quality, start at around 20-25).

Unfortunately, without knowing what you have set up for audio, it's kind of hard to help you there.
