Hi folks,

I've been trying to stream on Twitch but my microphone has a weird issue; the sound gets choppy when I speak. You can see this here (talk more around 6 min mark)
http://www.twitch.tv/shrimpydoodle/b/575314610

I use open mic in OBS and push to talk in games. I have no audio boost or mic offset in settings. Microphone noise gate is off. Audio encoding is AAC 48kHz, 96 bitrate. In-game and Firefox music audio is fine; it's just the microphone.

My pc specs are:
Processor: AMD Phenom II x6 1050t
GFX: AMD radeon 7800 series
8 gb DDR3 ram
webcam: Logitech C260

Anything else relevant that I missed? I'm not super tech-savvy.

I'm on wireless internet.

Log from that stream

This issue happens when I stream other games, too, so it's not just a Dota thing. Not sure if it is my webcam or my OBS settings. I'm assuming it has to do with the "Audio timestamp for device 'Logitech Webcam C260' was behind target timestamp by 90 " message repeated in the log. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Change the audio device for the webcam source to "None", you already selected it once under Settings > Audio.

Hey Sapiens,

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried disabling the audio output in the Webcam Source and unfortunately that just muted me! Then I tried it the other way around (muted in settings>audio and enabled in webcam source) and the audio worked but the popping was still there.

So I had a thought and changed the mic Audio Sync offset to 80 for the Webcam Source, as that is the number that popped up most of the time in the log with the "Audio timestamp for device 'Logitech Webcam C260' was behind target timestamp by 80 " message. That seems to have fixed it for now!

You're also using an old 'scene buffering time' default (seems to be 400). Set that to 700 in advanced settings.

My mic is cutting out for 30 seconds at a time or more then comes back for about the same time. My logs are flooded with that error.

Even with scene buffering set to 1000 I'm getting:

13:35:53: Audio timestamp for device 'Microphone (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio)' was behind target timestamp by 10
