Question / Help Choppy/laggy recording

Just built a PC for my friend. 1660ti i7 8700k 16gb Ram Windows 10 pro. Everything runs amazing. When I run OBS while playing apex legends the gameplay is perfect no studdering or anything but when I go back and look at the recording it’s so choppy once we get in game. I’m recording at 1080p 60fps. Tried flv and mp4. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to fix it. Thanks
