choppy and deep voice audio

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and re downloaded OBS to start making tik tok videos and stuff like that. I have a weird bug where in the first couple recordings i do, my audio cuts in and out abruptly, as well as my voice is noticably deeper and its driving me nuts. I've tried running as admin, and redownloading the software, even looking for microphone drivers. I just cant fix the problem. anyone else having this issue??

also, I should mention, I've used OBS in the past before it got its modern interface, and never had this issue with older versions and my crap PC I had at the time.

UPDATE!!! I fixed the problem. It was the Hz rate of the microphone was out of sync with what OBS was recording. OBS recorded 48Hz while my microphone was set at 44.1Hz in the audio settings.
