Choose part of a window to record?

When one chooses a window capture as the source, is there a way to "draw", or "outline" a rectangle or part of the window to record. Other, far less powerful, recording softwares, notably Flashback for one, do allow this. But I can't find how to do this.

Anyone? I know this is probably a really noob, dumb question and it is in the guide somewhere. But I can't find it. If you will just direct me to the place to find how to do this, I will go away and not bother you again for at least a couple weeks.
