Check for updates automatically won't accept clicks

Just installed OBS on a new install of MacOS Big Sur (intel) and I cannot get the popup to click through. Clicking either options, Don't Check, or Check Automatically, does nothing and the popup remains. Any ideas on how to correct this?

I had the same issue on M1 Monterey.

I "fixed" it by going to settings and unchecking "automatically check for updates on startup"

Now I need to check for updates by hand from the "Help" menu, but not too big a deal
