Group of friends are chipping in what they can to buy our artist friend a new laptop for streaming his artwork. I'm trying to find out what the bare minimum he could scrape by with would be. The artist friend is in the United States. Budget for this is pretty low (Initial guess on their part was a budget of $300 before taxes) and my own guess is at best it's barely possible in the 400-500 range.
From what I understand it has to be a laptop. It will need to be possible on Windows as he wasn't able to operate Linux even with some people giving him the commands to copy and paste into the terminal. Likewise getting him to install Linux himself would be a problem.
So anyone have any suggestions on what the absolute minimum a laptop for Sai/Photoshop streaming would cost?
