Hey peeps, I am having some issues with editing video editing. I recently came to OBS from xsplit and have been having trouble with the .mp4 format. I am hoping to find out if there is a way to change the file output directly in OBS? Or, what editing software should I use? Camtasia doesn't support the .mp4 files, AVS crashes almost every time I open a file in it and movie maker takes a day to "prep" a file only to then find out if it can work or not. Thanks for the help everyone

Make sure Constant Frame Rate (CFR) is set to On / Yes, or else most video editors won't be able to handle it. Make sure you're not using unusual custom encode commands as well. I use Sony Vegas (Movie Studio versions are fine) and it works brilliantly with the .MP4s that OBS saves, as long as I'm not using obscene bitrate or compression, and I keep CFR on.
