Question / Help Changing scene without notice

ok so sometimes when I'm streaming or recording I'll be playing my game and obs would be running in the background. I'd get to the end of my recording to find that the game was only recording for about 10 minutes and the rest of the video is just one of my other scenes like "Intermission" or "Thanks For Watching". I've set hockey's for the scenes over on my num pad, so there's no possible way I could have accidentally hit those keys. It also happens in the worst of times like while playing h1z1 and it changes scenes just as a hacker kills me so I'm unable to record what happens.. Please if someone knows the issue and/or a fix please post.

are you assigning a numbers to the hotkey? maybe change the hotkey to something like F11 or the insert key and post back if you still have the issue

is it showing as num 1 num 2 in the hotkeys or is it just showing 1 2 etc etc?
no that should be set to your 10 keypad buttons 1 and 2. but direct play or whatever the game uses to assign keys might see them as the same. set them to something else and stream on :)

If you want to use hotkeys via the Numpad, i'd recommend using the ctrl or alt keys on top of that, so your hotkeys would be as follows, example: ctrl + Num 1, ctrl + Num 2, etc. That way OBS doesnt mistake you using the number 1 key above the Q key as a hotkey, rather it requires an extra key to function.
