Change scenes in OBS by Microsoft Word/Excel VBA macro

Hello, I need to change scenes etc. in OBS by sending commands from Microsoft Word/Excel VBA macros I write.
I don't want to send keystrokes (which is unreliable), so I understand some sort of plugin needs to be written.
I don't have the knowledge to write such plugin.... where can I write t seek help?

Please note:
Word/Excel and OBS are on the same machine (Windows 10, 64 bit) which should make things easier!

Can you point me in the right direction?
