Change back to "bitbit" capture step-by-step

That source is not what the yellow border is coming from. You have a window or display capture source elsewhere causing the yellow border.

Can you take a look and tell me which of the sources might be the problem

You have multiple scenes and one or more of them has a window or display capture source in it.

I think it's the "Elago 60s+" that brings the yellow border (since when I toggle it off, the yellow border disappears as well). Problem is, as I had previously stated, there's no change-to-bitbit option in a "Video Capture Device" source.

Hi. Having same problem here regarding the yellow border.

It's started immediately after the update to OBS v27, which had an important display workflow change, according to the release notes:
"Added a new capture method for Display Capture, allowing the ability to capture displays cross-GPU. "

I use OBS to record and have just one source, which is my external monitor (Display Capture).
Up to OBS v26, I never had seen that annoying yellow border.

a) Can anyone confirm whether the "new capture method for Display Capture" may be causing the yellow border in systems like mine, which never had shown that border before?

b) I've seen several topics mentioning changing to "bitbit" capture for fixing the yellow border (which seems to appear in some systems even before v27 update). However, it is not clear in any topic I've read how to change to "bitbit" capture. Is it changed within OBS? Can someone please shed light on how to change a "Display Capture" source (external monitor) to "bitbit"?

Thank you!

The new automatic WGC capture method added in OBS 27 causes the yellow border. You can edit properties of display / window capture sources to change from Automatic to DXGI / Bitblt if you are sure your system is set up properly for it.

There is no yellow border on your screenshots. For example, I see the yellowish strip on the left. Contact the manufacturer of the capture card for details.

Downgrade: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases click the Assets at each release entry and download/install needed version of OBS.

By the way, everything that will use Windows capture API will draw yellow border (not only OBS but any program/util/plugin that is capturing visual content of your PC).
