Challenge: Can you get OBS to record 5.1 sound right

The challenge is simple

Go to this website https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html
- Check if your surround setup plays the sound correctly

If it does - Record with OBS

Play with VLC (you have ensured that your VLC can play 5.1 correctly) or possibly other players
- Is the surround still correct? i.e. is the channel mapping is correct - no channels are swapped

Mine is not correct If your OBS records it correctly

please tell me (and others) your settings

Using Media Source was causing routing issues, not sure if it's been fixed.

Center Channel was being mapped to the Left Surround & Left Surround was in the Center Channel.

No routing issues when using VLC as the Source.

I didn't bother to try your link if that's what you mean. Outside of using Media Source, surround/OBS work just fine for me. 2.1 all the way to 7.1, been that way for years. Perhaps you're doing something incorrectly or are trying to use matrixed surround?
