Centering Text on MacOS

I am moving from OBS on a Windows device to OBS on Mac mini and I am surprised to find that there seems to be no way to center text, horizontally or vertically, within a text bounding box. Is this correct? Without this basic feature, how is everyone centering a paragraph of text on screen?

Any help on this would be great, as I am stumped at this point.

In the Edit Transform Window. The option is called Alignment in Bounding Box.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but I just updated from 28.0.3 (where I was using Pango text) to 29.1.3 (where I'm trying to use the Freetype 2 text), and this does nothing. Is there another way to center text in MacOS?

I just don’t understand why such a basic function is not readily available. People have been asking for this for years, yet all threads seem to end with “This will be added in a future release”, but it has never been. I’d also love to have word wrap. I am tired of having to manually wrap everything, every week for our church service.
