Catalina with obs problems

Hi guys I hope everyone is doing fine I have a question I hope someone can help I will be grateful I was on high Sierra on mac book pro 2018 i7 16 gb ram I was dj streaming on obs without any problem as soon as I upgraded to Catalina everything went wrong my serato audio has dropout my waveform are all jittery it feels super slow I watch a lot of vid in YouTube but nothing seems to be working
Any suggestions will be appreciated

I installed the latest version of OBS yesterday and found I couldn't get audio capture to work. After searching around a bit I found the following:

Desktop audio on Mac currently requires a second program to help OBS capture it, since macOS does not provide a way to capture audio built-in. You can accomplish this with a program called iShowU.

But even after following all the steps exactly (using both BlackHole and iShowU), I still can't get audio capture/recording to work.

Here is what I'm running:

OBS 26.1.2 (64 bit)
MacBook Pro 2019 (Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2))
2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

I'm hoping that in spite of following the directions to the letter, I've managed to miss something and so just need a nudge to get this working.

Any construtive advice very welcome.

hi thank you for the reply yes i install i showu also it works fine i dont have to use my focusrite anymore but it doesnt solve my problem my cpu is above 30 per cent on the red my serato super slow also when i was on high sierra same set up in obs no problem catalina is driving me insane :)

What did you do to make your audio work? Mine still does not work with OBS. :(

i basically just followed the vid and it worked but dont forget you also have to add ishowu to all your scene in obs

As I said above, I have followed all of the instructions exactly as they are presented, but it still does not record any audio.

I can't believe I'm the only Mac user that is having this problem.

Sorry to hear that but trust me myself obs is driving me nuts in Catalina since I upgraded streaming has been very bad I have a mac 2018 i7 2.7 ghz and my serato on the lowest setting on obs in on the red on cpu meter
