Question / Help Capturing youtube and other videos while looking at chat?

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask is there anyway besides using screen region/second monitor to capture a video, have it the only thing showing on stream and at the same time looking at chat? I don't enjoy screen region because the sub region glitches for me and I don't have room for a second monitor on my old computer desk. Basically, is there a way for the video to be the only thing shown on stream while I can look at the stream chat?

Any other method? I can do a fullscreen game capture of VLC player with no problem, it's just the youtube videos I want to show to my audience more efficiently

There are some options.

If you want to show them a specific video, it would be a lot easier to have the video file and use the method above cited by dodgepong.

Now, if you want to show them whatever you decide to show at the moment, then I'd just have OBS capturing the browser window at full screen showing the video, then you just have to alt+tab to the other window. You would see the video on the background, the chat above your youtube video, and the stream would only see the video.
OR
You can also have it work with screen region, but the quality would not be optimal and there are the glitches you mentioned.

Hope this helped =)

But the thing is that, I try for a fullscreen capture aka game capture but it's on "Cannot find window" I don't know exactly what you mean by "just have OBS capturing the browser window at full screen showing the video, then you just have to alt+tab to the other window. You would see the video on the background, the chat above your youtube video, and the stream would only see the video."
