Question / Help Capturing Desktop sounds on windows

I posted a topic on the mac forums but I have a friend that does not have an account and cannot get one and he has the same problem. Is there anyway with software to capture desktop sounds? I do not think that wavtap works with windows. He would rather do software then hardware.

you could try VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). Ithink there is a guide in the resources part of the forums.
