Captured Game Footage with Horrible Lag

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I'm definitely no expert in using OBS. However, I have been using OBS to capture game footage in the past. When I encountered issues in the past, I usually could solve them by myself. Not now, it seems. I'm trying to capture video game footage of the game "Pillars of Eternity". The game itself runs smoothly, but unfortunately the captured footage does not. Usually, I'd say this is an issue with the selected fps - ingame as well as in OBS - but I set the ingame fps to 60, same as in OBS (all in 1920 x 1080, 60 Hz).

I do use a Lenovo ideapad Laptop with the following specifications:

ideapad 310-15IKB
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz
RAM: 12 GB
Windows 10 Home
it has two graphic cards:
- Intel(R) HD Graphics 620
- NVIDIA Geforce 920MX
I selected the NVIDIA graphic card as "preferred graphics card" under "global settings" within the NVIDIA system settings, since this has been an issue or rather a solution for similar problems in the past.

I should say, that several years ago, I didn't encounter any issues capturing game footage of the aforementioned game. Since then, there have been several updates to OBS as well as my graphic card drivers of course.

Attached, you'll find the log file. Hopefully, it sheds some light into my issues. I'm confident it has something to do with the settings and can be solved rather quickly. If you need more information about my system, the game settings, OBS settings or anything else, please let me know. I appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to everyone!

~ Peter

Edit: I just realized that the LogFile is useless, so I uploaded the Current Log File as well. It seems, it is an issue with my memory. The OBS project analyzer already helped a bit but I'm still eager to learn from you guys as well.

Here is what I think might be the main issue I have with this particular video game capture.
"Your GPU is maxed out and OBS can't render scenes fast enough. Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. OBS requires a little GPU to render your scene.

Enable Vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage.

If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game. If you are experiencing issues in general while using OBS, your GPU may be overloaded for the settings you are trying to use.

Please check our guide for ideas why this may be happening, and steps you can take to correct it: GPU Overload Issues. "
