At first, sorry for my bad english. Hoping you willl understand.

Hello!

I have a dual-pc-setup.
OBS is installed at the streaming-pc (Laptop).
Both pcs are connected with a aver media capture box.
In OBS I don't use global audio devices execpt the mic.
The Sound from the Gaming-PC will be captured by Aver Media -> Live Gamer Ultra Audio (it's a seperate audio source in the Mixer).
So, if I mute the Sound of the Gaming-PC in OBS I still can hear it.

Have anyone an idea?

Greetings

You say you don't use it, but is it still there? I've seen people say they "don't use" something, to mean they don't *want* it, but in fact it's still on and active. Screenshots of all the settings would be nice.

So, if I mute the Sound of the Gaming-PC in OBS I still can hear it.
Is there another path that it can get through? *Where* do you hear it? OBS's recording? Independent speakers? Speakers through OBS? Etc.

What is your *entire* audio path? Since I learned on analog PA rigs, I imagine it to be somewhat like one of those, but done in software. I want to see everything, all the boxes, and all the wires between them, even (especially) the ones that are buried and hidden away "for your convenience". Explore *everything*, well beyond OBS.

Thanks for responding! Ok, fotos are easier for me than a description (;

"*Where* do you hear it? OBS's recording? Independent speakers? Speakers through OBS?"
-> I hear it on my earphone. As well as OBS is running and in the Recording and the Twitch-VOD.

A few weeks ago it works. I have muted the Aver-Audio-Source and it was quiet, no sound of gaming-PC could be heared.

Yeow! That's a lot of sources! I can only imagine what that scene looks like! Are you really sure that you haven't forgotten something in there, and that's where it's coming from?

When you set the Use custom audio device checkbox for the Video Capture Device source and used HDMI (Live Gamer Ultra Audio) device as new source of the audio, then the sound from the HDMI (Live Gamer Ultra Audio) can be muted only via the Video Capture Device source in the OBS Audio Mixer pane.

So, how you muting it? Maybe you trying to mute a source that is not the source of the sound?
