Question / Help Capture Game black screen

Hello,

Trying to record some games lately, I discovered OBS but I'm facing a black screen anytime I launch a game capture, sound is ok, microphone too. Already tried different settings available in the menu. I have a Nvidia (Quadro K2000), I swith the encoder to the NVENC H264 but same results.

Everything is fine in Display capture, except when I switch to a game window. Producing 1 fraps per 5-10 seconds, I lowered the bitrate to 2000 but I didn't felt any difference in the output.

And to finish with the cherry, streaming is not functionning (can't connect to the server).
I'm wondering if it's coming from my setup or something wrong in my configuration, any help?

Your hardware cannot do what you are asking it.

20:25:17.881: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 7278 (49.8%)
20:25:17.893: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 8131/8502 (95.6%)

Both rendering and encoding are severely overloaded. These messages are in each recording session. Lowering the bitrate won't help-- that is making the computer work harder, and NVENC is not really worth using at such a low bitrate-- it is most useful when recording at high bitrates.

I am honestly not sure why your recording session using the NVENC encoder with a CQP settings of 23 are causing such a problem, as this is not particularly high. Is something else running besides the game and OBS?
