Capture cards with version 25.0.8 (mac)

Hi. I just got a new Mac Book Pro and am running OBS 25.0.8. I used to use a different windows version. I'm trying to utilize my camera with a capture card. It worked fine in window. This version is not detecting it. Anybody have any ideas... Thanks.

It would help to know what capture card you're using and what it connects to the computer with(usb, firewire, thunderbolt....)
