Question / Help Capture Card VisionSC-DP2 blackscreen just in OBS

Hi,

Like the title says I just get a black screen with the Datapath VisionSC-DP2 Capture Card.
On every other Software the card works though. For example Virtualdub has absolutely no problem with it.

With my previous Card - the Datapath VisionDVI-DL it worked also in OBS.

I hope you can fix it. If I click on Configure Video nothing happens while it should open Video Config of the card. The log mentions it as well.

Maybe because of that? How do you have it configured in the Datapath software?

Why do you have a GTX 1080 in your streaming PC? You're not gaming and streaming on the same PC with a capture card, are you?

I'm not streaming, but capturing my PC with this capture card. I dont like hooking into the game engines. Too much fps loss by it (OBS' hook is surprisingly fast though, but still I dont like it. Too much problems with it which may occur.
My goal was capturing games without any fps loss by using the capture card for the capturing and NVEnc for the encoding. OBS would offer it.
Virtualdub doesnt offer NVEnc so I have the slight loss by CPU Encode with MagicYUV. But if OBS would work (and wouldnt be that slow on capturing directshow - like mentioned in my other thread) then the goal would be reached.

My Card is set to RGB 2560x1600p60 and my previous card was at RGB 2560x1600p50.
On a Youtube video of the DP2 card the uploader said it worked on a previous driver version of the DP2 card. But I would prefer OBS fixing the problem rather than downgrading my firmware and driver of the CC. Especially if other software has no problem with it.
At OBS even the video config button which should open the Capture Pin/Filter config of the card doesnt open within OBS but in every other program.

I have the same Problem with my new Datapath VisionRGB-E1s.
With OBS Classic and this Plugin it's working just fine, but i want to use OBS Studio

very interesting. And this is not available for Studio?? hmm.
If you got it working with OBS Studio and without an extra plugin I may not know of, you'll directly enter the next problem like described here:

I want to say that my Datapath VisionRGB-E2s was working at some point, but now it's only black.
I could run their own vision program and capture that window, but I'm not sure that's the way to go.

Hi guys - i already mentioned i was able to get OBS studio to work with Datapath VisionRGB-E1s on newest drivers with no extra plugins etc, in the following thread:

studio was picking up the card but showed no image at all, somewhere up until the point when i created a custom resolution in the EDID (i just upped the pixel clock to 165hz on a regular 1920x1080 rez and it started to work,
