Question / Help capture card randomly freezes until i uncheck/check the source again

Hello,

I've been streaming with OBS and a gv-usb2 capture card for quite some time now and I've been encountering a new problem in the past days: sometimes, the feed of the gv-usb2 freezes (both video and audio) while the rest of the layout is still active, and it doesn't come back until i uncheck and check again the box corresponding to the source (the gv-usb2 card). To be clear, when it happens, I don't touch any cable at all and it still comes back after unchecking/checking again and doing nothing else.

I'm gonna have to solve this issue before streaming again so I really hope you'll be able to help me.

Thanks for your time

Do you hear windows USB disconnect reconnect sound?

USB capture device disconnecting is one way the audio/video cuts out. Be sure USB connection isn't loose and wobbly. Try different USB port, ideally at the back of desktop tower box.

Using USB hubs? Be sure they are powered from wall outlet if you need USB hub.
