Question / Help Capture Card Problem !!

I have an Avermedia CaptureHD (model no. H727) installed in my rig, but when i try to configure OBS by right clicking source and selecting Video Capture Device it shows the device as AverMedia BDA Analog capture, and the stream shows a black screen with a jagged up green rectangle near the bottom.

I am trying to stream my PS3 game using the component cable and I don't get why the device name is showing my HD capture card as an analog device.

Is this hardware compatibility problem with OBS or does this have to do with something else ??

That's just the name of the Directshow device. It should still refer to your H727.

Are there 2 Avermedia Directshow devices to choose from? Have you tried the "secondary" BDA Analog capture? I think Secondary is for Component and Primary is for HDMI with Avermedia cards.

Yes it shows two devices, and have tried with both but no luck, it still shows a black screen, I have been fiddling with the settings, but still haven't been able to get it working with capture device.

My specs are
Proccy - Quad core AMD @ 3.2ghz
MB - Biostar TA970FX
GC - AMD Radeon HD 6450
Net - 8 Mbps connection

I am trying to stream my ps3 games via my Avermedia CaptureHD (H727) capture card using a component cable, I have tried using HDMI as well but no luck

Check to make sure the device isn't already active in another application. That sort of error in the log only happens in that situation typically
