Bug Report Capture card bugs with anything newer than v0.522b

Hello!

So I got an issue. I haven't been able to update my OBS for a long time now due to my capture card having an issue with OBS. I have an Avermedia c127 Game broadcaster HD. The card works fine on v0.522b but if I upgrade to anything newer, the problem starts. What happens is that if I preview the stream (or start the stream) the image from the CC is messed up -> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65578095/OBSc127bug.png I haven't changed any of my Capture Cards settings between changing the builds or anything either. Running on the latest drivers I can get for my CC also.

Here is my log done with the latest test build:

Hope I can get some help as it would be nice to get the new features from the new updates! And yes, I've tried every update including test builds.

Ehhh nvm. Finally realized what the problem was and it was that for some reason, with anything newer than v0.522b the resolution for the card was getting messed up (it was set to 1280*1024) so I had to manually set it back to 1920*1080. Quite odd it did that but now it works and I'm happeh :3 Basic me, post an issue and then resolve it 10mins later.. Should have done this a few months ago. xD

Well, you know... the fact you posted this issue and in fact also came up with the solution may help someone else down the line. So, no harm, no foul. The more data and feedback is collected, the better the progress of OBS' development is served, I say.

The code to pick resolutions changed in 0.542, it prefers frame rate matching over resolution matching. You may have set your OBS FPS higher than your capture card can capture at.
