capture a image from Blue ray

Forgive me for the newbie question, I am new with this. I am trying to capture a frame/image from a blue ray movie. Blue ray connected to my PC via USB and media capture card. I use the screen snapshot feature to obtain the image. I have read and tweaked OBS software and am getting a pretty good image now, but wanted to know if it can be improved. Log file gives alot of info so I will not repeat everything. End result is a PNG picture 1920 by 1080. My graphics card puts out 2560 by 1440 and my monitor is the same. I know there may be limations using the media capture card vs having a blue ray player built into the PC. The picture is for my own personal use.

Thanks, yes I missed that on the capture card and of course the movie. Can't improve from the source. I wish I could capture what I would see on a TV

oops, was not my intent over the copyright. I was looking for a few pictures for my computer room. Does even that break the copyright?

Set your color mode to 444 to capture the full pixel data, otherwise you'll be getting 4:2:0 (color data is 960x540). The original video is probably 420 but you would want to capture your screenshot with as much color data as possible so you're not downsampling it again

Thanks yes I did that. Seem to be the same result but I have to go back and check other changes I might of tried. It doesn't look the same as I would see on the TV. Blue ray says 1080P
