I can't seem to edit the files using any kind of software. I can't even extract the flv files as no program will recognize them. Or The file just crash whatever flv compatible program I am trying to use. I have CFR enabled and no matter what I google or try the files can only be watched. I have not had this problem in the past. Only recently when I had to re-install OBS.

I went into the broadcast settings and changed the file path from, C:\Users\Andrew\Videos\.flv to C:\Users\Andrew\Videos\.MP4 somehow this caused it to save as a MP4 file instead of a flv file. so now I can edit it with Windows Live Movie Maker. I hope this helps. if you have anymore questions... Ask them. :)

Thank you for the input but I'm used to putting out better quality. I really would like to use better software than Windows movie maker.

He was suggesting that you save to a different container format, not to use Windows Live Movie Maker. Is MP4 unusable as well? Have you tried switching back to x264 instead of using NVENC?
