Cant turn on desktop audio

so since obs is not capturing my desktop audio, i go to audio settings and try to turn on either desktop audois, but disabled is the only option available, so i cant turn it on. seriously, its like talking to a brick wall. plz help ;(

I found Desktop Audio, in my use case, to be a frustrating and a problem, not a help. So I disabled OBS Global Audio inputs, and added on the desired/expected Audio Input sources in appropriate scenes. But.. depends on your use case

Did you grant OBS permissions to your Audio at the OS layer?
