Question / Help Can't stream with OBS on Windows 10

I can't stream with OBS now that I have went from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I didn't have any problems streaming in Win7 but now, even lowering the quality of the stream, it lags and stutters all the time. Is there a solution to this or is streaming on Win10 not optimal right now? And how long will it take for it to work on Win10? :P

yeah idk im getting the same problem i thought i fixed it by having vsync on as it did smooth the gameplay out and had no lag but after a while it came back and started lagging and stuttering again.... so i have no idea. I am trying to figure this out too.

Sorry if I sound like a noob, but how do you do that? Im streaming on my pc only but can that be something making all the stuttering/lag?

well for me, I uninstalled the current nvidia drivers and went back to the previous version 359.06 and also reinstalled obs and now it works fine. Stream is not choppy anymore, i do 720p 60fps at 3000. If you have nvidia give it a try and let me know, i did it because i had a kernel check failure bsod and i read up on it and it said the nvidia drivers were causing the problem in windows 10.

So far its fine.. I will see after a few days of use.

hmm that dvr in xbox is interesting will do that too, actually i already have all the xbox stuff disabled in services so i dont think its running anymore.

Running games in Windows 8 compatibility mode works fantastic for me.

Dude! It worked for me. I made some other changes aswell but now it works much better. Hope it stays like this :/

I just got around to it, I disabled game dvr but i just ended up unistalling the xbox app will test it out tomorrow and see how it streams now.

hmm might have to look into that too then. Its seems pretty fine for me but i get random lag or choppiness in game. Like im playing h1z1 and im running through the forest and its silky smooth and then randomly it will get choppy and feel like 10fps n then again it will be smooth... I dont understand.

My friends that watched said it looks good and its smooth, but then i watch the twitch broadcasts vids on my profile and its choppy it parts, sometime smooth then choppy...
