Question / Help Can't stream to youtube, can stream to twitch.

Hello,
I've been using this software for a while and I can stream to twitch fine, but when I attempt to stream to youtube I get the message
"Could not connect to server
The connection timed out. Try a different server, or check the connection is not being blocked by a firewall or other security software (10060)"
So I tried the obvious and disabled my firewall (I only have the basic windows firewall) and that didn't work, so I tried putting my computer in DMZ on my router, that didn't work I've tried 2 different youtube accounts, that didn't work and I'm all out of ideas.
I can't find anything saying whether or not the youtube streaming servers are down or not so I'm really at a loss here.

You might have to create a live event:

See the video but when you do the OBS settings, there should now be a tab for youtube under "mode"

I am having the exact same problem. I use YouTube all the time, but today it did not want to 'connect to server', so I tried Twitch for the first time ever just to see if it was obs. Twitch worked just fine for me, so I don't know whats wrong. I prefer YouTube Streaming. Hopefully someone figures this out.

Then its probably youtube if it did not work and used to. next time start your own thread instead of necroing a 1 year old thread.
