Bug Report Can't stream suddenly for some reason

Could not access the specified channel or stream key. This could be because the key/channel is invalid, or because the server still thinks you are logged in.

I don't want to snowball tons of threads as I already posted once but I'll add to this subforum as well that I just started getting this error for the first time.

The first time I tried to stream, I clicked Start and within 2 seconds I stopped it.

I think I have done this before with no issues. I still can't stream. I figured maybe the server needs time to reset my connection.

Almost half an hour still can't connect.

Someone in my guild said they encountered this error and they had to wait about an hour for it to be fixed (without any notice). But that it happens about once a month.

This is the first time this issue has occurred for me however.

I just reinstalled over my install.

I have another thread where AVG detected an issue and removed the file, but OBS seemed to work just fine.

It could be a coincidence. In any case it is working now.

If AVG quarantined game capture or the inject helper which injects game capture into a game, it can prevent hooking (this can happen with certain anti-virus settings because they mistake its actions as potentially malicious; game capture has to inject code into the game to capture the frames)
